Wider

Wider was a different kind of challenge—designing something that looks almost too simple, while still carrying the edge and identity of Infected Mushroom. The concept was bold: one knob, one job—make any sound instantly wider without phase issues. But because the function was so stripped down, the UI had to deliver maximum vibe with minimal UI.

I leaned into visual metaphors: the expanding lines, the glowing center, the symmetrical waveforms—they all had to feel like stereo width. The typography is loud and proud, inspired by DIY punk aesthetics, to reflect Infected’s raw sonic style. Designing Wider was about restraint—how much attitude can you pack into one control? Turns out, quite a bit.
