iWish

A plugin that reflects a signature style

Designing I-Wish was like trying to bottle a glitch in real time. The core concept—freezing micro-slices of audio and playing them as notes—was so unconventional, it demanded a UI that felt equally unique but totally intuitive. I focused on making the behavior feel visual: the LFO, envelope, and amplitude curves had to look like they were bending time.

We used bright, reactive color coding to distinguish modulation types and guide the eye through what would otherwise be a complex signal path. The top section stayed clean and hardware-like—just two big knobs—so users could tweak pitch and formant instantly without thinking. It was all about balancing experimentation with clarity, and giving producers a tool that invites play without getting lost.
